Just last night I put the last stitches in the binding of the cot quilt. This was really fun to put together - a treat after working with such small pieces for such a long time.
Such large strips meant I could go to town with the quilting. So of course I got busy with my favourite thing - feathers ... with a few swirly tendrils thrown in for good measure.
I have missed working on my NI quilt though - so I'm looking forward to getting some more hand quilting done soon. Perhaps tonight while I'm checking in on the next installment of Downton Abbey - how I love that show! Chatter soon :-)

Yay for baby sized quilts, don't you just love the quick finish?!
And double yay for it being Sunday and the next installment of DA - can't wait! I hope that nasty housekeeper woman gets her comeuppance soon - it has to come doesn't it????
I loev the way you did those tendrils in the feathering! There's definitely something to be said for a simply-pieced quilt every now and then, especially when it can be added to with fun quilting!
That is a lovely quilt - LOVE the feathers and swirlies!
Lovely quilt! I made my first "wrapping paper quilt" or striped quilt if you will, just a couple of months ago and it was great fun. It was a baby quilt too, and, as usual, I forgot to take photos. Your quilting is beautiful -- I am going to have to break out of my straight line quilting box and try something more festive. Looking forward to more photos.
I love the swirls you've added in the feathers! :)
very beautiful!
