Bonnie's Bowdacious

After machine quilting four quilts in a row, I was just exhausted and itching for some mindless piecing. And because I had a recent finish, I could allow myself to start something new.

In Bonnie's 'Adventures with Leaders and Enders' book, there is a project I've been checking out - it's called Bowdacious. It used scraps from the 1.5" bin, a size I don't use often, so I thought it would be fun to mindlessly cut and sew.

These little four patches are jewel like, and even though this will eventually be put to use as a leader and ender project, I'm having fun sewing away right now. And when I'm in the right frame of mind, I'm going to get busy with my Nearly Insane blocks again. I'm really looking forward to playing with them :-)

A customer is bringing us her Nearly Insane quilt on Wednesday, can't wait to see it. I have no idea how we're going to quilt it though.

Enjoy the mindless sewing, I'm cutting scraps ready for some sewing time of my own. Can't quilt forever without a break.

I have made the BowDacious. It is beautiful if I do say so myself.
Hubby had me colorwash the layout. I love playing with the little squares.
In fact I am a swap hostess on Yahoo for this size of squares.
I have been swapping with them for 3 years. I have quite a collection!

I, to, have a mindless sewing project: strip blocks. I cut a bunch of yellow strips for the centers and then when I want to sew but not have to concentrate, I sew a block or two. I am saving strips so maybe I need to make little 4 patches, too.
