Mini quilt - close up

A few people have asked to see closer pictures of my miniature quilt, and Fiona asked if I could show it with a tape measure. Well, of course I'm happy to oblige!

Here you see a couple of the blocks that I've already quilted. The basting stitches are still in place, and I haven't washed out the blue guide lines for the quilting yet.

I have quilted around the yellow part of each flower, and if I have time to do it, I'd like to quilt down the center of each leaf. Each day the deadline draws closer, so I'll do what I can in the time that I have.

Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments and encouragement regarding this quilt. It means so much!

Ohhhhhhhh, just BEAUTiful!

I didn't realize how small it was till I saw it with the tape measure. How teeny!

It's beautiful Tara. The quilting really 'makes it'. You are very clever

your miniature quilt is lovely and the quilting you have done on it is perfect.
I found a packet of 9 shade graded hand dyed pink fabrics by Dianne Johnson in my cupboard which i bought at a craft show a few years ago. I'm going to put it on my "to do list" for next year to use them for flowers in a quilt.

Oh my, I could never imagine working on anything that tiny - I think exquisite is the word that summs it up! Thanks for the tape measure.

What a pretty little quilt - I really like flower wreaths but have never attempted one quite that small - gorgeous!

Exsquisite work and soooo tiny. I am impressed! Your stitches look just perfect. I think quilting down the leaves is a great idea and I hope you have time to do it. Well done.

Oh my, Tazzie - this is even more impressive close up. I've done tiny appliqué so I have some idea of the challenge this represents. Your work is magnificent! This will take the first place ribbon, I'm sure!

Oh my goodness, your miniature is so incredibly beautiful. I can send you my address for when you are done with it.
I'd be afraid to show closeups of any of my quilts, and yours is even prettier closer up than from farther away.
