Even though I've become hopelessly addicted to my Nearly Insane blocks, I have still been chugging away at other projects. I've bordered all the fruit blocks I made, and I'm now in the process of pinning and quilting them. The blocks are awfully cute, and I can see some more in my future, but perhaps in a larger project.
I'm still madly quilting on other projects. I have three belonging to others that I really must complete before I head over to the US, and then there is one of mine that must be done. I feel confident that I can get them all completed. The housework is suffering I must confess ... I've set aside some time today to rein in the chaos ... then I can work with an uncluttered mind. I'll check back with you all soon :-)

My new addiction
I have a new addiction, and it's absolutely consuming me!
My Nearly Insane blocks are so addictive that I want to work on them every day. I shall have to get my fill for now, because it won't be long and I'll be separated from them ... how ever will I cope??
I'm not sure if it's playing with the little scraps of fabric, or having fun with the colour combinations, but I'm having the very best time ... and I don't want to stop!!

Nearly Insane Block 8
Even though I don't usually post my Nearly Insane blocks here (I usually put them on the Nearly Insane Fans blog), I thought I'd share this block with you, because I'm just so very proud of it!
Can you believe this block is 6 inches finished size? It has 152 pieces. And the crazy thing is that there are two blocks in the quilt with more pieces - the one with the most has 229!
This is the second time I made this block, because I wasn't very happy with the first one. I'm thrilled now, and I'm sticking with it. I can totally understand why this quilt is called Nearly Insane!

Almost there ...
On Thursday I mentioned some goals I'd like to get through before the end of the long weekend. I'm really happy with what I achieved. I haven't quite been able to finish remaking my NI block 8, but I'm working on it now, and the evening isn't quite finished yet.
I got all the hand blanket stitch done around the fruit blocks I made, and even managed to get a whole new one done - the oranges. I'm happy with them, and my hand stitching is getting better too!
Also checked off the list, the replacement Nearly Insane Yahoo Group challenge block for this week - block 38 which is the one on the left. And because I just couldn't resist, I made up one of the triangle blocks too - block 91. Loving this project!
And on the quilting front, Robyn's quilt was pinned, quilted and ready for her to pick up on Wednesday. And the next quilt in the queue is pinned and ready for me to begin quilting on tomorrow night. All is right in my world :-)

Dawn's Tree Skirts
Our dear sweet friend Dawn has been busy making Christmas Tree skirts from one of my patterns. Don't they just look lovely?
She was asked where she got the pattern, and because I'm supremely lazy, I hadn't put it on my website yet.
However, I've fixed that now, and it's available at www.tazziequilts.com. I've made it a special price for March and April, given that none of us are thinking about Christmas right now ... but it's never too early to get organised, right?

Fruity ... again :-)
See those two new blocks there - the lemons and the grapes? Well, I'm ashamed to admit that they're the only quilting endeavours I've undertaken this week (and I made them up today). I still have to do the blanket stitching, and I would have liked to achieved so much more this week, but life has simply gotten entirely in the way.
However, I have four clear days off work now, and Mum is taking Camo to the beach house for the long weekend, so my prospects of spending time in the sewing room are looking very positive indeed!
What would I like to achieve over the next four days? 1. Quilt Robyn P's quilt. 2. Blanket stitch the new fruit blocks. 3. Make up this weeks yahoo group challenge block for my Nearly Insane quilt. 4. Remake block 8 of the NI quilt. 5. Pin the next quilt on my list.
All these things are achievable, I just need to get busy. Let's see how I go :-)
