What's on your bed?

I'm not sure that I've ever given anyone a peek into our bedroom before! So, what's on your bed?? Because it's summer here, we have a quilt rather than a doona. This is one of my favourites - a scrappy Sisters Choice quilt that Linda and I made. It's one of Bonnie's Scrap Users System projects. Linda made 100 blocks, I made 100 blocks, and we swapped 50 over. It has wonderful memories and our taste in fabric is so similar that it's sometimes hard to tell who's blocks belong to who.

And so you know I haven't been slacking off, here's two of my 'purple stars' blocks with what I'm thinking about using for the sashing strips. You can also see the alternate background fabric I elected to go with. It's one of the double wide backs from the Sturbridge Village range. How I love the reproduction fabrics!

All the triangle segments of the blocks have now been constructed, and I'd say I've finished 10 to 15 of the blocks entirely. I think tomorrow will be the day that I complete the blocks.

And though there is absolutely no chance that Marty will be reading this ... Happy Birthday hon. Love you to bits :-)

Ruh roh. I might want to go start a Sister's Choice scrappy block party now. No Rules! What a great quilt. Probably don't need to mention my thrill over the purple stars. :} I'm practing patience.

Good day/night to you.

That sister's choice is lovely... if you made half the blocks, is it a Half-sister's Choice? :D

I would never think that you'd slack off. ;)

And we're so envious of you with the warm weather!

What a pretty sister's choice. I love to see what other people have on their beds too! I am loving watching those purple blocks come together.

I am hand quilting my Sister's Choice using Bonnie's scrappy pattern and it is one of my Favorite quilts. Mine is flannel for the chilly temps here. Love the purple stars, the elongated triangles are not something I am confident to attempt.

Sister's Choice is one of the quilts on my list. I really like that pattern and the scrappy look of it. What is on my bed....a tea-dye color wholecloth quilt that blends with any other quilts, pillows or fabric I put in the room. I love changing out the color.

I remember when you were making and swapping the blocks, but I don't recall seeing the finished quilt, so this is great. I love the way it turned out. I'm a repro fan, too.

Your purple blocks are great. Did you decide on that for the strips?
