Amy's Room ...

... is uninhabitable right now. I just couldn't face painting it - especially not in this heat. So Jon is coming over today to do it. He'll do in one day what will take me a week of messing around and being distracted. Since the day we moved in to this house, I've never seen this room so empty.

And speaking of the heat - it's 7am and already 36c (97f). Still better than our high yesterday of 45.5c (114f) - that's HOT!

In today's Windsor Star (Ontario, Canada) I read that you are having a heat wave. I wish we were having just some heat to melt some of this snow. Of course, we have to be careful what we wish for.

it's n hot, but it's 16F here right now. I'd give anything for growing flowers, grass between my toes, sitting on the deck in the evenings. Even the air conditioner bill

Wow - over 45C in Tassie as well - suffering with you in Adelaide. For anyone in kinder climes north of the equator - believe me there aren't too many flowers or green grass around - we are all under water restrictions and drought all over Australia.grawd

Well don't forget, we want after photos as well, just to ensure that he has done as good a job as you would do.

good for you hiring someone to do it. Will be nice to have it done in one day.
She must be so excited that her room is being painted.

Oh my goodness - what an empty room.

Could you send some of that heat over here please. I'd kill for 30°C!

Does it always get that hot in the summer? WOW! I have lived where it would get to 103-107*F but 114 is crazy hot. I hope your A/C unit is working properly. Take care.

I'm also in Alberta and would you like a shipment of snow?

My husband says, "Do not complain... this happens every year."

Some years it just seems to happen with a vengeance!
