More Purple Stars

Are you growing weary of these pictures yet? As a rule, I work on a project methodically from start to finish without putting it aside too much. But I always wonder if the endless photos of the same project at various stages of construction bores a person to tears ...

And so I present ... another picture of my purple stars blocks! This is how many I've made so far, and the remaining twelve blocks are so close to finished that you'll be seeing them by the end of the day - I'm sure of it!

I'm excited to see how the blocks will look with the sashing strips in between. I'm not sure that I've chosen the right fabric, but it'll be great to test it for real - and I'd like to use a double pink cornerstone - just for a little pop!

We had a great night on Friday night - a gathering of friends for Marty's birthday - but also to break in the new outdoor suite. A great night was had by all - way too much wine, and so much fun. Yesterday we were all feeling very tired and flat. So, what did we do? - Have friends over for dinner last night to polish off some of the leftovers, and we'll be out again tonight! We'll rest another day :-)

My answer to your question is "no". I'll never get tired of seeing these blocks; they seem to sparkle. I don't think this is an easy block to make. Getting those 3 triangles fitting nicely must be a challenge.

I love seeing the progression of the quilt being made. It makes me feel like a friend who stops by your sewing room to see how the quilt is coming!! Thanks for letting us in. And...next time, have the coffee ready and I'll bring some chocolate chip cookies! LOL

Tazzie,
I love your purple blocks - the quilt is going to be stunning!!

I also love the beautiful scrap quilt on your bed- it is amazing that you can put a whole rainbow of color together and even though there are colors that you would not expect would work together some how it does.. It is one of the wonders of quilting...

Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilts...
Hope the rest of the weekend has continued to be full of fun..
Regards,
Anna

When I get tired of looking at quilts and the progress a quilter is making, it will be time to quit (or bury me - LOL). Those stars are looking so good. I'll be back to see the sashing as soon as you post the next photo!

Not bored at all - I love seeing the progress. These blocks are even more beautiful than I imagined from your previous post. Now I've got to post them on my list of quilts to make as well. What is the name of that block?

Yep, totally bummed out to see these luscious blocks again. These exquisite blocks that inspire me.

Having to study them and enjoy them and wonder at the construction... Yeah, it's tough but someone's gotta do it!

Absolutely adorable!! For some reason, it reminds me of completing the puzzle when you have to match parts and be very accurate. And it gives a lot of joy to follow the process of making it! Thank you!
