Ouch!

This morning I had planned to show you the tons and tons of stitching I would work on after we returned home from the netball game last night.

You know what can happen to best laid plans ...

Not too far into the last quarter of the game, Miss Amy took a great leap for the ball, and when landing it would seem there were too many feet in the one place. She ended up landing *horrors* on her left elbow, then her face, and last of all her body landed. Ohhh my goodness, it was just horrible.

After a trip to the ER, her arm is in a sling, thankfully it's not broken, it's suspected that her nose may have been broken, but we won't know. They decided that since it's still straight that they wouldn't x-ray it, as they can't actually do anything to fix it anyway. She's not feeling too bad this morning on her painkillers. Can you believe at the time she wouldn't allow us to take her from the court - she wanted to keep playing - she's one tough kid!

And she was very happy to hear that her school friends went on to win the game ... Gosh, all I can think of is this ... so much for a non contact sport!

Hope she heals quickly. Kids seem to heal so much quicker than adults.

Oh, ouch! Ooooh, I remember those days of sports-playing children. Not sure who hurts worse, parent or child. Well, of course, the child does, but it's hard on the parents, too. Hope she mends well.

Oh dear - that's awful. Hope she recovers quickly and is back on the netball court really soon.

I hope she feels better soon and that there is no damage to her nose. I think most sports can end up with some contact if you play enough!

Gentle ((Hugs)) for Amy, and best wishes.

Kids heal quickly so she'll be back on the court before you know it.

Oh I hope she is doing ok now! That is terrible! Emily is on the High School tennis team. The other day it was raining so the coaches just had them play dodge ball in the gym to waste time. The best player jumped up to catch the ball and fell and sprained her ankle! So much for tennis for a few weeks! Is that stupid or what!

Ouch! Probably it hurt you just as much as her! Cute picture of band aids to represent the event. Hope you are all better soon.

After my initial dismay about her injury you really made me smile when I read about her delight in her team's victory - made from the same mould as my Sarah there
