An exciting package arrived in the mail yesterday. It was my parcel from Somerset Patchwork and Quilting. You see, for a few months I've been a member of their 19th Century Fabric Samplings Club.
Aren't these fabrics delightful? And on the other side of the package are some lovely blues. They're 10" squares, so just perfect for these small block projects that I'm working on. (And I might add - no affiliations etc. - just a very satisfied customer).
Another thing: My wonderful friend Linda in the USA has started her own blog, and I'd really love you to visit with her. Here is the address: Linda's Quilting Blog. Be sure to tell her I said "HI" xox
Lastly, it's my DH's birthday today. Happy Birthday hon, love you!

Yummy fabrics, it will be interesting to see what you make?
I have been trying to convince myself to start the Barbara Brackman quilt along. We are having a speaker at our next meeting who specializes in Civil War fabrics and quilt patterns, miniatures too. Yes, she will be bringing fabrics to sell. I have purchased from her in the past, at quilt shows. Maybe that will be the push I need.
I would love to hear your thoughts and the process when you choose fabrics for these type of quilts, or quilts with small blocks with small pieces. Your NI blocks are so Yummy. I just fall into your quilts in your pictures. The color choices seem to be perfect, but so different from the types and colors of fabric that I ususally buy.
Oh, I'm not really asking for a huge explaination in a personal email. Good Grief, no! Maybe a blog on the subject sometime.
Blessings, :o) and((( )))
Beautiful fabrics, I will have to check out both sites! Thank you for the links! ~Take Care...
Oh! What gorgeous fabrics! Looking forward to see what you're going to make of them :o)
Have a great and creative week,
Laila
