Pageant Day

Yesterday was the day of the Adelaide Christmas Pageant, and as tradition dictates in our house, it's also the day we put up the Christmas tree. Mainly because I love how the house looks when it's decorated for the season, so I want to make it last as long as possible! :-)

I must say, it all looks so much more glittery in real life - I'll have to get Marty to take a picture with his fancy camera and even fancier filter.

lol People are so different! I put our tree up for the solstice on/around December 21st. I take it down January 2nd. I cannot stand it any longer than that. I try to do lots of holiday activities, especially now that we have kids, but I really don't care for how cluttered the house looks with all the decorations and tree. Each to their own kind, I guess. :)

Nice to see your chritmas tree already. In Holland we first celebrate "Sinterklaas" on 5 december ( he arrived yesterday in Holland.)
It's a celebration for childeren. When Sinterklaas goes back te Spain it's our time for a Christmas tree....

a few weeks to wait...

Greetz from Holland,

Your tree is beautiful, but I'm just not ready for a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations yet. I don't even know how much I'll put out this year. Last year I was working on the kitchen up to the last minute and did a very simple tree and put out just a few other decorations. I found I liked the simpler look.
