Here are three more Farmers Wife blocks I completed on the weekend:
For Block 5, I used freezer paper templates - it's my current favourite technique for odd shapes. And Blocks 7 and 11 were super easy, using oversized squares to make HST's. Super fun! I'm loving this project! xox

I do the same with HST's I can never get them right making them the other way, lovely blocks Tazzie.
Lovely! I love the freezer paper template method too for things that are really crazily shaped and not easy to cut/measure!
Love seeing your progress!
I followed your Nearly Insane journey (and have started my own,) and now I am enjoying these Farmer's Wife blocks. Is there a tutorial anywhere showing how to use freezer paper templates? I have been paper piecing my NI blocks, but would like to try some different methods. Thanks!
These are great!!! I'm assuming all these blocks I am seeing around are quite small....????
