Stormy!

My goodness, it has been just over a week since I've posted. It's not for lack of anything newsworthy, I guess I've just been a little disinterested. My bad ... I promise I will do better later this week ... cuz I've had a little surprise. I got a call tonight to let me know that my quilt has won something in the guild show. How fun!!! I have no idea what it could be - I suspect it has placed in its category. So when I visit the show on Friday, I'll be sure to let you know.

It has been stormy in Adelaide over the past 24 hours, and my clever husband managed to take a great picture of the lightning - there was so much lighning!!

Isn't that something else? Just huge! Marty takes great pictures.

Though a little loud and scary at the time, this was nothing at all like the terrible storms that have ravaged our friends on the east coast of the USA, my heart goes out to everyone suffering in Sandy's wake. I can't even imagine what you're all going through.

Well, this is just a quickie post - I'll check back in on Friday, and then on the weekend I have a little something for a giveaway, so I'll chatter soon! xox

Excellent photo! He's a really good photographer. Another storm is due to hit here tomorrow. Let's hope it doesn't create more damage. Nor'easter storms can be scary as well.

Wonderful photo, I've never even tried to capture lightning like that. We probably got that storm a few hours before you, and I sat out on my back verandah and watched it roll directly overhead. The thunder and lightning were amazing, good thing I'm not scared of storms!

Congratulations on your guild news. I cant wait to hear what's going on!

That storm was spectacular but very scary. Little P was crapping himself every time there was a thunder clap (so was his Bella by the way )

Great photo! We rarely get lightning storms in our area. Congrats on your win--can't wait to hear what color your ribbon is :)

Sandy kept my daughter's best friend away from home in Manhattan for a full week--she was luckily holed up with her boyfriend in Brooklyn who never lost power.
