Nearly Insane Fans

I'm not sure if I'm entirely outta my mind, but I've decided I really need to get busy on my Nearly Insane quilt - and to that end I need to create the impetus to get me stitching.

So, I've created a 'Nearly Insane Fans' blog, and will post my progress on there. But additionally, I'd like to invite anyone else who is working on the NI quilt to join the blog also.

Send me a message in the comments on this blog, as I'm still in the process of creating the other one and also figuring out how it all works. If I'm organised I could also set weekly challenges etc. Let the fun begin!

Hi,
I started a Nearly Insane a while ago and got to Nr.14 and then other quilts got in the way. At the moment I've got two to finish with deadlines, one of which is a handsewn bedquilt (must be mad). Hope to get back to my NI at some stage soon and would like to join your group.

Oh, I would love to join along with you! I started my NI last year or so and I think I only have about 13 blocks done, I will have to dig it out to be sure. I didn't go in any certain order, just picked a block here and there. I think my problem was, I was working on the NI, DJ, Civil War Love Letters and the Civil War Diary Quilt all at the same time! I really got burned out on them, but I would love to work on it again.

There is a nearly insane yahoo group too where is you have EQ5 or 6 you can print the paper piecing off to do your blocks. Pre requisite is to have the book of course, Think I have made 40 blocks with quite a few more to go. There are lots of quilt blocks to see on the yahoo group to inspire :-)
Have Fun
Cheers

I've been wanting to do this and have had the book for a few months now. Hoping you can inspire me to get started.

Oh, I'm so jealous, I LOVE those blocks but cannot start anything new right now. Will be watching vicariously!

These remind me of the DJ blocks in that they are all small and all different! You are brave to put these blocks out where everyone can keep track of our progress. I guess maybe it spurs you on to get them finished. I think that I would feel stressed by it but who knows? It works for you, right? Good luck.
