Last night I used my 'free' time to complete the centre of my Bricks and Stepping Stones quilt. I just love Bonnie's patterns - be sure to stop by her site for inspiration to do some scrap-busting yourself :-)
I was being so careful when I was putting the pieces together not to get two of the same fabrics in a row, and in my wisdom, I've managed to get four pieces of the same green floral fabric in a line down the centre of the top. I'll take them out and replace them with something else, I know it'll bug me forever if I don't do it.
When I have the chance, I'll add a narrow 1.5" outer border, and then add a final border of 3" squares, or rectangles, or something of that nature. It won't be for a little while tho ... because ...
In addition to the quilts I have here at home - a new range of wonderful reproduction fabrics have arrived at the store, and I've volunteered to make the sample quilt which I'm just in love with. I'll be making it in my spare moments. Yes, that's what I said ... spare moments *lol*

oh my that is lookin great - I have been cutting scraps into sizes for a bricks and stepping stone quilt-sure hope it turns out lookin' half as good as yours ,
cheers Vickie
I do love scrappy quilts and make quite a few of them. I have done the same thing you did with the row of one kind of fabric so many times. Its so weird how you can put something on the design wall, check it over and over and still not see the similar fabric that are lined up in a row, neat and tidy, until after the top is finished.
I thought I was the only one who drives themselves crazy trying to make sure that a "scrap quilt" is co ordinated!!
That quilt look great the colour are so nice together. I am meant to be cutting binding out for a quilt I started last yeart instead I am blogging... LOL
looks great, yes I would have to take it out as well!

Hmmpphhh - that happens to me too! Just happened on a quilt I recently finished (and I didn't take it out) - I was SO careful to arrange so that wouldn't happen - I think the blocks rearrange themselves at night - LOL!
This is nice. I will have to make myself another one. I made one a gave it away. I like this pattern and yours turned out wonderful.
I'm with Denise... they do move around the design wall in the night... it is not your fault!!
Really looks great, Tazzie. That always happens to me, too...usually AFTER I've got it all sewn together and quilted, that's when I notice!
Really like the colors. Easy mistake which drives us all nuts!
I enjoy that quilt so much. My own version of it is squirreled away for special "sick on the couch" days because I don't want it to get too used too fast. LOL
Hope you have fun making the sample quilt.
Hugs, M
love this quilt. great job!
I love this pattern, I was involved in an internet swap of these blocks, some came from your side of the world! I have mine on my bed, they are just "cuddling" quilts. Hey, you at least got your blocks all in a line, I had one color to work with and got it turned anyway!
um one column left of those florals is 3 that look the same too......:(
The quilt look great and the color are amazing, well done
What a fun quilt and it looks like it was nothing but fun to make. I hope you'll share the new fabrics with us, too. :)
I love it! That one has been on my 'to do' for awhile. I may have to move it up the list. :) Isn't it ironic that you end up with fabrics together that you tried so hard to avoid?
Wow! I really like how it turned out! That pattern is on my list of quilts to do on Bonnie's site! Right now I am working on my pink bargello. I have used that pattern several times before and love it.
