It's Autumn here, but my thoughts are with this new quilt. By the time this project hits the newsagents, it will be Springtime.
I'm kind of wishing it were Spring, we're in the middle of a heatwave here - it's around 40c today (104f). Most of the past week has been over 35c (95f) and we're expected to have the same for nearly all next week. Lots of indoor activities are on the agenda, and most sporting activities the kids are involved in have been cancelled.
But back to the quilt. I have only two more applique blocks to make, and I'm around a third of the way through the pieced blocks. I'm really loving the way it's all coming together. I'm unsure of the final border at this stage, but I know the quilt will have an inner yellow border.
It's almost dinnertime, so I shall shuffle off. After dinner it's back to the piecing - I'm so motivated to see this one come together!

I envy your warm weather, here sporting events are also being cancelled, because of the gale force winds and heavy rain!
Your blocks look beautiful and your plans sound great.
Love your pink and greens!! Is your weather cooling off yet??
I mean cooling off soon??
We are having a blizzard here - 14 inches of snow, so seeing a springtime quilt is very refreshing. It's very pretty. We are staying indoors most of the day too - except when we are shoveling the snow!
Such pretty fabrics, love the combination!
Our guild gets all of the Australian magazines, and I'm always so pleased when I open one and see your beautiful quilts. I can't wait for this one!
Here in Italy is very cold and there..........I like hot time.
These applique blocks are wonderful.
ciao ciao
Oh Tazzie - I love the way this is coming together. The pink and green are fantastic together. The flowers are so springish. I'm loving this one.
That is going to be a beautiful quilt! Love the movement of the fabric. I'm betting you're definitely looking forward to some cooler weather.
I just love the fabric you are using. The green and pink are so rich. Absolutely stunning!
I'm not sure that fabric will need too much jazzing up...really like how they are coming along!
I just love the fabric that you are using; I think this will look terrific.
Love it when a piece comes together. This is so pretty with those fabrics, Tazzie, too!!!
well, it looks very spring inspired and quite lovely so far
oh, I'm loving it already! Of course, being a pink and green lover makes it all the better! Is this for Australian Patchwork? I signed up for that magazine--for some fresh ideas--I love that magazine. And it's funny, you are all staying inside because it's way too hot..we're all cold and inside due to the 20" of snow (I live close to Shelina!). Actually, it's not too cold, mid 30's, feels almost balmy today! :)
