Changed over ...

I've finally succumbed to the pressure and converted over the Blogger beta. So far I don't see anything significantly different, however this is my first post with the upgrade.

One thing I'm not happy about, and I know I'm not alone on this ... is that 90% of the comments I now receive come up with no reply address. I think it's some sort of issue between beta and non-beta. I do like to reply to people when I can, and it's hard for me to do that now, please don't be discouraged if you ask a question and I take a while to get back to you.

Maybe someone that's been on beta a little longer and has a bit more technical knowledge could let me know if this is a setting I can change or if this is just going to be an issue while there is a change-over period?

Hope you're all having a good weekend! x o x

I think that it's just the non-beta-bloggers who turn up no-reply. Sending this one as a test to you - now that we're both beta. Let me know if I'm no-reply or if the address shows up - then at least we'll know that much!

And haven't made the leap yet, so you can see if you can reply to me a non-beta if you want :-)

I'm new to all this blogger stuff and started out with the google beta version. I always get an error message when I try to post a comment to someone who's not using the beta version, even when it appears I'm logged in correctly. Very frustrating! To get around that I choose "other" when leaving a comment, but then I have to paste in my URL which can be pain.

I am of the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" way of thinking so I am resisting changing to beta. I suppose eventually everyone will have to change but I am dragging my feet all the way.

They sure are pushing the beta blogger. When I posted on my blog today the first thing that came up was a big --- Now it's time for you to change to our new beta!!! or something like that. Why does this non-secure site message keep coming up on the new beta?? I find that annoying.

I guess I will have to cave in soon enough and switch. Bah humbug!

I am glad to hear that your experience has not been negative with respect to the switch to Beta. I have been hesitant to switch because of all the bad stories before.

I have not dared to change to beta yet. But perhaps I should???

So far I haven't been pushed to change to beta. But I figure it's coming soon. I'd rather them work a few more bugs out first.

And the reply thing seems to be something between regular and beta as the beta folks now show up in my email as no-reply.

I have not changed yet. Doesn't beta mean that it is still under delvelopement ? I am hesitating......

So that must be why your blog showed up as 27 entries unread on Bloglines today LOL! All your entries from October 13th onwards reappeared. I had over 200 entries- aarrgggghhh!

Blogger doesn't think I'm good enough yet to become a Beta Blogger. However, would prefer to wait until they have ironed out all the creases and debugged it. I think you have my email addy if you can't reply to this.

Hugs.

I'm planning to switch over and get my own website, no more Blogger for me. BUT this will not happen by the end of the year, hopefully Blogger will keep me around that long.

I've been afraid to switch over also. I keep thinking what am I getting for the beta compared to the one I have now. But I too am noticing the Security message evertime I post a comment to someones blog who has switched over. Ughhh.

I'm being bombarded with requests to switch over. Since you switched you have fallen off my bloglines Tazzie. Suppose I should give in... I want to try knitted socks too but I know I'm not up to it. At the Craft Fair I picked up a pamphlet for a shop that has lessons, so I plan to do that one day. Yours look great.
