Thread

A little while back I mentioned a thread that I'm really enjoying quilting with right now.

Showing a picture of the thread is the best thing I can do for you, as there is nothing at all on the spools mentioning a name or a brand. I wouldn't use it for piecing, as it's not made from cotton, but for decorative quilting, I'm loving it.

And the price is amazing ... at 99c for 1000 metres!

No Kidding! Where did you get this at that price? At the price of threads these days, that is absolutely amazing.

Hello Tazzie - looks like QA thread to me - I've used it for machine embroidery. Love your latest scrap quilts.

Where is it from?!

This definitely looks like QA thread. In New Zealand it comes in a box of 14 mixed colours and there area about 6 different "collections" of colours. Available from Spotlight 'over here', so i guess it will be 'over there' too.

Yes, it is meant to be for machine embroidery but I have been using it for quilting for a few years now. I think it is quite a strong thread because I have undone (quite) a bit of quilting done with this thread and it is much harder to break the thread with a quik-un-pick than any 100% cotton thread I have ever used. It has rather a nioce sheen to it too.
