Taken 'aback'!

Tonight I pinned the 'Starstruck Again' quilt. On the back, just for fun, I'm using a fabric given to me by my wonderful friend Linda.

A quilt I slept under at her beach house had this fabric also as a back, and when I told her I thought it was cute, she declared that she didn't care for it much and promptly hid the remainder of it in our luggage. She was thrilled to evict it from her stash. So, it's kinda a jokey fabric for us both ...

Marty wandered in just as I was getting ready to layer the quilt, and being the 'shoot from the hip' kinda guy he is stated that he 'likes the back better than the front'.

How does that song go? Things that make you go hmmmmmm ...

That is funny! My hubby's taste is so different from mine that I sometimes avoid asking him how he likes something! LOL!

Keith also has *different* taste in quilts/fabrics than I do. I was pleased that he saw the quilt I'm making for Adam's girlfriend when he came home from his last trip and actually likes it -- many of mine are too scrappy for his taste.

Marty! Sort of like "out of the mouth of babes..."

I dig how it links you and Linda together. Makes me really "feel" what quilting is about.

It does make ya wonder some times how you ended up with them no? hummmm....

My Dh doesn't like scrappy quilts at all...he almost went off the road today when I said I couldn't wait for him to get tired of the shirt he was wearing so I could cut it up for fabric....guess that is when they go hummmmmm

MyGuy likes the backsides better, too. The only way to keep them "right side out" is to use flanell on the back so he will wrap that around him.

you know that saying "ones persons trash is another person treasures?" And I like the backing too!

I have the same duck fabric as a back on a quilt I am making for my husband. We had to really hunt to find enough for the back. He really likes that fabric, so we hunted a lot! LOL!
