This morning I had some visitors and an opportunity to revisit some of my older quilts.
Some favourite scrap quilts came out of the cupboard, and as I was getting ready to put them away later on, I paused and ran my hands over the fabrics.
I just love this quilt - the nine patches are made from scraps belonging to both myself and my wonderful friend Linda who lives in San Jose. There are memories in all those fabrics - from the quilts they first appeared in, and all the quilts that followed.
This quilt is based on one of Bonnie's leader and ender projects - the Zig Zag Nine Patch. Aren't we all so very lucky to have Bonnie in our lives - she is just so generous with her free patterns.

I love that quilt and Bonnie as well.
I don't respond often but I read every post.
Keep it up; you are inspiring me girl!
My mother made a scrap quilt years ago with left overs from dresses, etc. I loved the one piece because it had little brown foxes on it. I remember exactly what the dress looked like that she had made for herself from the fabric. I was always intrigued by the little foxes. They looked sort of like the fox in Little Red Riding Hood.
It looks wonderful! I love anything that can use up a few scraps....the pattern is very effective!
It is a beautiful quilt, and you are right about Bonnie. Love the quilting design on this.
Lovely. Bonnie is a blessing, and so are you. This quilt just gave me an idea for something I'm working on...!
That is beautiful! Scrap fabrics are my favorite! I make a lot of scrap quilts!
Love that pattern! Very nice job on the quilting!

This is gorgeous! I just love scrappy quilts!
It's surprising what memories get triggered sometimes when looking at your scraps! Bonnie's zig zag 9 patch is on my list and have about 3/4 of the nine patches collected--many came from a block swap. I even already bought the tan I want to use for the setting squares and triangles. I think I will bump this up to "NEXT" after the four major projects I am in different stages of now. Thanks for sharing.
I do that too, the petting of fabric. :)
This one is also on my list of quilts to make. Aw, heck, I gotta admit, my list of quilts to make is the whole sidebar of Bonnie's site!
OK that is a great scrap quilt. I am going to start mine this week. Hugs!
Gorgeous! This quilt is now on my to do list! I also have two more of Bonnie's on the list, and several that I've already made. Thanks for showing me this one because it is very inspiring.
Hugs, M
I also love this quilt...but scrappy and Bonnie just kinda go together don't they. Yes, we are lucky to have Bonnie in our lives!
