Just for fun (and to get some practice) yesterday I prepped a pre-printed mini wholecloth project that I've had laying around for a little while. I have a feeling I may have picked it up from The Stencil Company while I was in Paducah in 2010 - I have a few of them now.
This one is called King Arthur's Crown, and it's a 16" square - I don't think it'll take long to get it done given the size - this is what I achieved in about 90 minutes last night:
Hopefully I'll get a little more speed going with practice, or Mrs Billings is going to take a LONG time! Chatter soon :-)

Your hand quilting is amazing!
Tiny stitches! I'm wondering if you really need the practice, it's looking great already. Why don't you handquilt more often?

So you'll be happy to know that I loaded a certain quilt to baste a few minutes ago. Will try to get to it tomorrow afternoon/evening in between birthday parties and massive Synod church services :-)
Beautiful work! Such tiny stitches!!!
a lovely design Tara, looks like you had better make short work of this one and get all your needles threaded .. Mrs B is on her way very soon.
Я просто в восторге от маленьких стежочков, а рисунок вообще бесподобен!С нетерпением буду ждать финала этой кропотливой работы!

Such pretty stitches! I've always wanted to quilt a whole cloth, and I think I might have one of those panels from paducah...thanks for the idea!
That is just going to be a spectacular wholecloth when you finish it!
Why practise? Mrs Billings is going to be even more stunning with your beautiful hand quilting.
Beautiful! I am only able to do "utility" style hand stitching--I never learned that rocking motion thingie!
Looks fantastic Tazz. I see you hand quilt as beautifully as you piece.
Love that stencil idea thingy. Brilliant!
