Here are nine blocks of my 30's Dear Jane stitched together. Now you can see a little of how the colours are coming together in the trip around the world scheme. The seams are really showing through the white fabric - but I'm not stressing - I've placed the pieces on top of something darker, and it's really exaggerating the issue. With white batting, you'll never notice :-)I'd like to get really busy and put a whole lot more of the rows together, but I have several blocks missing from Rows B and C before I can tackle that. Possibly also one of the blocks from Row A, but I'd have to check on my chart. I'm very much enthused to work on these blocks right now, the Nearly Insane project has me hooked on the little blocks again. If only I didn't have Quilter's ADD and hop from one project to the next - I may have a little more progress to show for my time!

Tazzie: Your 30s Dear Jane is turning out beautiful. I've been inspired to get back to my DJ after five years of neglect. My quilt is named "Bountiful Jane" as I live in a town named Bountiful. I saw your pic of your original DJ and it is beautiful as well. Thanks for the inspiration.

I just wanted to say that I have never really been interested in DJ quilts, but seeing yours in the 30's reproduction fabrics has really got me seeing the quilt differently. I mean, I love all the blocks, but have never really cared for the fabrics. Yours are very cheery! I think I may want to make one now. Great work!
Your Dear Jane blocks look fantastic in the 1930's fabric! Nice and bright and I think it shows up the intricate details of the blocks.
Stop showing me pictures Tara cause I might just have to join the insane group soon!

The showing of your seams is just enforcing your wonderful piecing skills in such little blocks! I think it is NORMAL when quilters jump from project to project...
I admire you for taking on such a big project Tazzie. I know I don't have the staying power!
