Operation Hand Quilting

Hand quilting on my Caswell quilt is continuing in earnest. Every spare moment I have is spent on the 'throne' in the sewing room with needle in hand, and for now, I'm loving it!

It's hard to capture the stitches in a photo adequately, but you can see some of my efforts, and hopefully some of the patterns I've been trying to stitch.

This is going to be a long term commitment to stitching, and hopefully I'll be as enthusiastic about it near the end. So far, all signs are good! Chatter soon :-)

Yes, I can definitively see the quilted patterns. Love the work done in the sashing and the circle around the appliques is a lovely touch. When I hand stitch a quilt I start like a lion, very eager and diligently work at it, then my enthusiastic energy fizzles. As soon as I can see the end getting closer, the race to finish is back on. So hang in there. You will have a Master Piece when completed. Enjoy! ;^)

It is breathtaking! I do a bit of hand quilting in the summer, but we are coming into our hand quilting season and I am loving it. Thanks for joining the party with this one. It is simply beautiful!

OMG! It is gorgeous. Your handquilting is wonderful. I love what you did in the "Flying Geese" borders. I also spotted some broidery perse in the blocks, exceptional. Can't wait to see the finish. With such variety from block to block, I doubt you'll lose you zeal for quilting. As an avid handquilter myself, I appreciate the time and energy you're spending on it. Keep stitchin'!

So beautiful! I love the juxtaposition of the quilted circles with the angular setting. You have really taken this pattern up several notches and I love how you made it your own! Happy stitching!

Your quilt is wonderful! Even when the project is large and long, hand quilting is so enjoyable!

Wow. Gorgeous. I like the fact that you are using every bit of space to quilt. Really like the circles. I think this is going to be one of those quilts where every time you look you will see something new. Beautiful.

Your quilt is gorgeous and your hand quilting is lovely. Would you recommend a 14" or 17" hoop to learn hand quilting?

It's so beautiful! I regret my English is a bit poor that I lack the superlatives to praise your work adequately. It's stunning!
