A Special Project

There is a project I have wanted to get quilting on for the longest time, but other projects keep bullying their way to the front of the queue. Finally I decided that it was time, and everything else MUST wait.

I'm using one of my favourite backing fabrics - this one just speaks to me. Also, there is quite a nice chunk left from the width of the double wide piece, so I'll have some nice pieces to add interest to my scrap boxes. Happy days!

  1. I love this phrase: "bullying their way to the front of the queue." I might have to copy that... like fiddly, which actually I think of often but forget to use. This one though, this one really fits! Tazzie, I love this backing fabric. It's one of those pretties that a girl almost doesn't want to cut!

  2. The quilting looks fantastic! Is that a panto or is it freehand?

  3. Gorgeous backing. It looks similar to the French toile. I know it isn't, but it does. If you get my meaning.

  8. Don't you just hate it when quilts bully their way to the front of the queue and fight for attention!! :)

  9. Ooooo - nice backing fabric. My friend just gave me two HUGE hunks of similar fabric. Someone gave them to her and they are NOT her style and wanted to know if I wanted them, uhhhh yes!
