Green Nine Patches Finished

I've finished stitching enough green nine patches I think. I have made 81 now, and that's a nice neat number (when you think in terms of setting them on point, 9 x 9).

Thank you to everyone for the suggestions regarding the setting squares. I'm really no closer to a definite decision - I'm leaning heavily toward a pink or purple, but when I'm on a fabric hunt, if a different and perfect fabric calls to me, I'll be open to it.

I'll have to concentrate on some different things for a little while. I've brought some yummy fabrics home from the shop to make up a new version of my 'Starstruck in Paducah' quilt. The original is living happily over with Linda, and I love the pattern, so why not make another. I hope to start tomorrow, so I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Be sure to have a wonderful weekend. x o x

  1. Oh, I just love the green nine patches! Can't wait to see what other color that you decide to use with them! I know it will be beautiful no matter what color that you use! You always make the prettiest things!

  2. That is going to be such a sweet, old-fashioned quilt! And that's the best way to choose the other fabric - it will choose you!

I think the best quilts are the traditional ones. The 9 patch is a favorite of mine. I can't wait to see it pieced together.

  4. I'm behind in reading blogs (my computer spent the weekend dead), but I'll cast another vote for pink. I totally understand the concept of the fabric picking itself, though! It will jump off the shelf and shout, "Me, me!"
