Ready ... Set ... Piece!

I know I've said it before - I work well with deadlines. Perhaps once or twice I may have twiddled my thumbs for a while to create artificial pressure for myself ... but I've never left starting a quilt until three weeks before my deadline!

Never fear, my next magazine quilt is now underway, and I'm sure I can have it done in time.

Don't worry about the two 'gifties' I still have to finish, and the customer quilts I have to complete. Sleep is highly overrated, and I'm just loving that quilting is my life!

In other news, I may or may not have ordered the fabric kit you'll find here. Okay, I did order it ... but I can't play with it, I'm having it delivered to Linda so I can pick it up when I visit with her in the USA. OMG, Cameron can't wait. He fell in love with it at first sight. I may have done so too ... :-)

  1. I swear I could be reading my own blog when I pop in here sometimes! I, too, am in need of an urgent deadline to get things done. And I have similar Imelda tendencies (although we're both way out of her league; her wardrobe was several times the size of my house, and the shoes were a sizeable proportion of that!)

  2. I love the colours of what you've got sewing and that's a cute kit you may or may not have ordered :-)

I love your new kit. I wouldn't want to wait either if I knew it was on the way.

Dianne said... I just ordered lots of fabric from the Very Hungry Caterpillar range and the panel of course. My kids (eldest is now 27 I must add) loved the book and I must have read it hundreds of times. When I saw the fabric I couldn't resist either and did my first US fabric order. Have to wait for more stock though. Like you I can't wait to receive it and design a pattern for it although I plan it for the grandchildren I hope one day to have. Talk about putting the cart before the horse but I couldn't let that fabric line go and not have a stash of it. I do like the kit you have bought, just didn't see it when ordering. A good option and I hope Cameron loves his new quilt when free time makes it possible.

  6. I have a pile of the Caterpillar fabric in my cupboard waiting for a free weekend - am making a quilt for my youngest daughter (she will be 21 in Septmeber). All of my children loved the book and I'm tickled pink that this fabric range has been produced.
