I've been quilting away on the Zig Zag quilt these past few days, up until this morning I'd done about two bobbins worth, and today I've emptied three bobbins. While stitching away, it has been fun seeing all those fabrics in there and reminiscing about the quilts they were in, and also wondering about which quilts Linda used her fabrics in.I'm taking a break now, if I do any more quilting today it'll be this evening. I'll give my shoulders and arms a rest, and do some of the other things I need to do ... like laundry and stuff.
I was hoping you'd be able to see the quilting better in the picture, all those setting squares you see there have been quilted, maybe if you click on the picture it will show up better. Looking at my progress, I'd say I'm around three fifths done with the quilting. It would be wonderful if I could finish the quilting in the next day or two, so that I can get the binding on by the end of the month. Let's see how I go!

ReplyDeleteWell that is just gorgeous, Tazzie. I love the quilting in the plain squares...in fact I love the plain squares all by themselves! Somehow they really set off the pieced squares, don't they?
ReplyDeleteWas this tricky to make? I notice some rows have 3 pieced blocks, some 2, and some 1. Looks like a good job for EQ6!

ReplyDeleteI love the way those colours all seem to sit so happily together. It's a great way to use simple blocks and really makes them look extra special. I think you are going to be very fond of this one. Great job, great colour use!

ReplyDeleteTazzie, it looks just terrific. I still can't see the quilting in the 9-patches, but the quilting in the setting squares is looking great. I just love this setting for nine patches - I think I'm going to have to put this on my list of things to make from my scraps.
