As I hoped, I did manage to get the FWS block made this evening. Three words: Bulky Seam Intersections! In two areas, there are nine fabrics intersecting - just about need a hammer to flatten them out :-)

ReplyDeleteActually a hammer is NOT a bad idea. Like you, I have heard that as a quilt tip and seen it demo'd. In fact at a sew-in a few years back, the group went across the street to the local hardware store in the small town where we were sewing and purchased the cutest little hammer that also contained a screw driver set in its handle! Mine is white with floral pattern on it.
