And it was busy!

My goodness! Isn't this arrangement an assault on the eyes!

But you know what? I still quite like it. And by the time there is a whole quilt's worth of scraps used up, surely there will be a sizeable dent in my 2" scraps box. Be sure to look closely - some of those fabrics are OLD.

This may just become another of those leader and ender projects that bullies it's way into being a 'main' project. Let's see if it can hold my interest.

  1. I really like it!!! That is why I really love scrap quilts, they are so spontaneous and asymetrical! I think I will copy your idea! I have LOTS of 2.5 inch squares that I need to do something with.

    Hugs!

  6. I love it!! I admire how you make great use of your scraps, I do true but not successfully. I can just imagine this finished, it will be softened by your gorgeous quilting....well done!!

  8. This reminds me of those incredibly charming Kaffe Fassett busy quilts that are filled with pattern and texture and a million colors, only you used your own fabric. I like it too!

  9. Cleverly pieced in my humble opinion. Assault on the eyes? Hard to get there with that one but I know the feeling so I'll giggle along with ya and see what comes up. It looks like fun to piece. I may have said that once already but not sure. If I did in a previous comment, well, at least we'll know I'm serious about that "fun to piece" business.

  10. I did look closely, and I recognize so many of those fabrics! I still have a few! And for what it's worth, I'm liking the quilt, too.

  11. You're funny about the bullying leaders and enders! They do bully themselves into the forefront.

  12. You know me...I love scrappy busy! and the quilting can be simple because it isn't going to show anyway!

I also love the duck fabric for the back of your other quilt...but as to your hubby's comment...doesn't he know that is akin to you asking him "does this dress make me look fat??" and no matter what he answers..it's WRONG?!!!
