And in other news, here is a quilt I've drawn up to make soon ...
So, I'll be making this quilt up over the next few months, using my usual controlled scrappy palette, and I'm going to enjoy it 100%.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! Wished I'd thought of commemorating 40! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Turning 40 can be a wild and crazy time. You start to do things you never thought you would!
ReplyDeleteYay for 40! It was a good year for me and so far, I love the 40's. I know you will, too. Congratulations and great idea for celebrating!

ReplyDeleteYou're so creative! I'm looking forward to getting a copy of the magazine with Dogtooth violets in it as I loved this quilt from the get go.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely, how do you devise the pattern?
ReplyDeleteWhere are the FOUR T's???? Love your clever idea..
ReplyDeleteIn our family, we celebrate birthdays at random days of the month they are in... but you will get to celebrate yours every time that you work on this quilt! How cool is that! Bless you. Forties are good.

Turning 4-T, that is too clever, how in the world did you think of that? Of course, you're only pre-40 years old, you still have an operational mind :-).

ReplyDeleteSo clever!! I am also turning 4T this year and I may adopt your idea and make one too (if that's okay!). All of the quilts I've been making lately have been for other people, and this "commemorative" quilt would be a great excuse to finally make something for myself!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Love the quilt and the name is so perfect! Good job Taz!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea - make a quilt gift for yourself! Great design.
