Mini quilt - close up

A few people have asked to see closer pictures of my miniature quilt, and Fiona asked if I could show it with a tape measure. Well, of course I'm happy to oblige!

Here you see a couple of the blocks that I've already quilted. The basting stitches are still in place, and I haven't washed out the blue guide lines for the quilting yet.

I have quilted around the yellow part of each flower, and if I have time to do it, I'd like to quilt down the center of each leaf. Each day the deadline draws closer, so I'll do what I can in the time that I have.

Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments and encouragement regarding this quilt. It means so much!

  1. Ohhhhhhhh, just BEAUTiful!

I didn't realize how small it was till I saw it with the tape measure. How teeny!

  5. your miniature quilt is lovely and the quilting you have done on it is perfect.
I found a packet of 9 shade graded hand dyed pink fabrics by Dianne Johnson in my cupboard which i bought at a craft show a few years ago. I'm going to put it on my "to do list" for next year to use them for flowers in a quilt.

I'd be afraid to show closeups of any of my quilts, and yours is even prettier closer up than from farther away.
